well done lou and john :sunglasses:

pretty ladyy

If I’ve read the report correctly, she passed both tests on 5 hours total tuition. That’s some going and congrats to all concerned. I have thoughts that there’s maybe a bit more to this story than has been printed, but that’s just me.

I wont get on the soapbox about the dangers of short courses. The examiner said she was good enough. And that’s that.

Congrats again, Pete

The way I’m reading it is that she did well on the cat C test then she passed C+E with five hours tuition.

Lou was so exceptional in her class two test that it only took a couple of day to prepare her for her class one.

Surely you wouldn’t do less than 5 hours in a couple of days tuition

Ah yes, think that’s probably right. Still good going. Pete

I would.

Probably just that the Thanet Times reporter was about as clueless as most provincial newspaper journalists…

What happened is that Louise had 4 days Cat C training and passed. She then had 2 days C+E in the same vehicle and passed again.

It happened because her boyfriend who passed both tests at 19 was too young to get insured but the company offered Lou the chance at 22 to drive while her boyfriend could go along and help until he was old enough.

As Peter often says and it is a fact, take the C+E in the same vehicle to save time and probably more importantly some cash.

Keep the faith

Yes the trainee has a licence but have they got the confidence and ability to convert those skills onto a full size unit and semi trailer and be competent in its operation?

I would hope she would have the sense to have half a day training in an artic or do first run with experienced driver.
