Not a hope in hell of that happening. 
Good idea but the attitude of cyclists says it matters not to them if your turning or not. They want to go up the inside and you the driver need to be careful and protect them. Well,we cant have them looking out for their OWN safety can we? 
It needs to be on the other side, or both sides, then I could see it & ignore it correctly. If I cannot see it I cannot ignore it can I. I won’t bring up the amount of drivers that don’t use the blinky things in the first place as that would detract from the point of the post.
Of course if you are at the traffic lights and truck pulls alongside you .
The hilarious sign , nor blinky things will be visible .
Hence the onus on drivers to be in control of their vehicles and responsible for ensuring no one is there before turning .

If the truck pulls up alongside you when you are waiting then you can go first, but still run the risk of getting squished ■■?
