skinny wheels are better for not getting stuck,same with low profiles on snow are crap.

Friend of mine has a Citroen 2CV and he can happily get through deep snow with no problems at all. As has been mentioned, skinny wheels just cut into the snow, wide wheels, especially on a heavy motor, compact it making it far more slippery.

That’s the problem when marketing men have sold the general public the idea of Carlos Fandango wheels and tyres being something good…
…crap, uncomfortable ride and poor wet / mud / snow performance.
I’ll declare my interest here, I have a Citroen GS. And no, I don’t have deliberate front tyre blow-outs while driving between lorries
