It follows Alan Barlow from Stoke in his Iveco 420 Turbo Star pulling for Brit European, the job should be fairly easy from the Raleigh bike factory in Nottingham to central Germany. However P&O in Dover are on strike so everyone has to go via Hull, but there’s only 1 sailing per day and you can’t get 600 trucks onto one ferry. Bad paper management, and half arsed agents mean a few delays and the back load is out the window.
There are interviews with P&O sailing staff, P&O Management, Channel Tunnel Management and Commercial Motor as well all have their say. Good footage, and all you would expect from a good doco.
I liked the sound my 480 Turbo Star made when I was going up through the tunnels at 4 o’clock on a Saturday morning towards the Blonk
