Just a question to Vascoingles,WBIS et al.
Why in all other european countries fingers down & away means away from you.
When in Spain,Portugal & Italy. It means towards you?
The same is true when they want you to go with them!
Fingers down & away then back, means “Come here”
I only ask as I have nearly been hit by 12 tonne blocks of concrete in these countries.
It cannot be a latin thing as in France they do it the “Right way”
As I say,just a question.
maybe you’ve experienced a bad crane operator there’s plenty of them in spain
the amount of times they’ve nearly hit my roof i’ve lost count i don’t think the test is very complicated considering some that i’ve met but the guys that load the coils in acerinox are very good when you can actually get them to do anything that is
i thought that the finger signal for you to go away was one finger thrust upwards .
of course thier is also the two finger salute in a V formation which is also thrust in an upwards direction … that works aswell.
again dont forget your HI-VIZ whilst performing either of these manouver’s
