will one work if its sat behind the wind deflector on top of cab or does it need a clear line of sight. just got a 2nd hand one for me daf85 space cab.
was thinking if not then putting it a pole which i can raise above the cab/trailor height when parked and lower it when on the move
I have seen many installed behind the deflector’s so they must be OK
got it on a pole and is working great upto now, not bad for 12 quid ish
i have mine at the back of the cab behind the plastic roof of my iveco and it works fine

does it clear your trailor height to get line of sight or does that not effect it either
it doesn’t seem to be affected at all. i have it cable tied to the top skirt bracket. in the volvo i had it on a mag mount on the roof but it kept on getting knocked off this is much better

i was a bit concerned about the wagon wash at pops with the top brush catching it also low branches but your saying yours sits below the wind deflector and not showing anything above that. cheers for replies
