I’m maybe the biggest Stobart hater on here, but there are two ways of looking at this.
The way you did, (which may well be right) or a gesture to show recognition and respect to a much loved personality who has died. It was a similar situation to the truck they named after Lee Rigby.
I’ll (probably naively) give them the benefit of the doubt, but only they know the real motive.
It’s not like it cost a fortune to do.

Talking to father in law yesterday and one of his mates worked for Brian Epstein (Cillas manager ) he would buy them cars and have them delivered. This was at the height of her fame. He drove from London to Liverpool one evening and got there about 8pm to drop it off. She asked him how he would get home. He said that he would just make his way home thumbing it. She said no way. She fed him. Put him up in the spare room and took him beans on roast for breakfast. Nice to know

Firstly, do we know for SURE that it is named after Cilla Black. I was Driving Theresa the other day. But due to the migrant crisis, I am not sure it was named after Theresa May.
If the truck IS named after CB, I am quite sure her family/friends/fans will be more than happy, as ultimately it is a nice gesture. I noticed when Lee James Rigby was unveiled, some were still unhappy. It’s sad that the uneducated on here, don’t realise that his father (Phil McClure) , is a ESL driver.
How would you all feel if your loved one was emblazoned on a wagon? Happy I would hope.

I dont know how old you are fella,but to blokes my age she was a legend not having a go just saying ! I think the truck looks great and im no stobbie spotter either !
