Olicense requirments for eire

do you require an international olicence for southern ireland (eire)im guessing yes as there part of the eu but theyre also part of the british isles and when doing dublin and galway last year i never got asked for my passport at the ports

Yes you need an International O Licence. Thanks to a domestic arrangement between the UK and the Republic of Ireland you do not need a CMR for goods travelling purely between the two, and not involving a third country, although both countries are signatories to the CMR Convention. As for the passport, UK citizens travelling to Ireland do not need a passport, as long as they are travelling directly from the UK. The airline or ferry company usually require some form of photo ID but the ferry companies don’t seem to bother with that on the freight side. I’ve never been asked for ID on either Stena Line or Irish Ferries.
