True my friend, The sad bit is when you have worked hard all your life like us, & put a few bob away for our retirement, makes us no contesters for any money the government hands out, only the // I cant put a name to these reciptents of all the benifits the get , but Im sure you will know what Im saying. Regards Larry
There must be snow on the way in your area Johnnie.Haven’t recieved it yet.It will go towards filling the heating oil tank this way.
Cheers Dave.
Dave I was a boy scout so be prepared if it gets cold I just turn the central heating up
the heating ( oil ) from my allowance is stored safely away out of sight
cheers Johnnie
Don’t blame you Johnnie.Although its been very mild up until now,so we haven’t used as much oil as usual…yet .
Cheers Dave.

Got ours as well this week Johnnie, they must be looking after us in the northern region, unless of course they will be paying those ‘down south’ an extra 50 quid later 'cause they feel the cold more.
Pete.

Cheers Dave.

Right lads I have read 5pages to catch up, I have not been on for two days, due to Sky, they said I had gone over my 2gb allowance, but would not penalise me this time, but if I go over in the next five months they will put me on a use as much as you like contract at £7.50 per month.![]()

So you can see why I pulled back. Now I can solve the three stooges problem with women, Larry , Harry, & Johnnie for you I have sorted a pleasant way of controlling your spouses, first get a clean bucket and fill it to almost to the top with single malt and lower your head into the bucket slowly drinking, this could take several days, and the aroma when you have reached the bottom of the bucket will overpower the strongest northern lass and will not be able to get within 20 foot of you, if they try to shout abuse, just reply " What" then they think the whisky has sent you deaf.

I’ve just recently sacked Sky for my broadband, calls and line rental. Reason? disgracefully bad service.
I contacted BT, got a good deal, unlimited broadband, free UK calls, £10 line rental. They did all the changing and I’m happy with the deal. 5 days we were without a phone because we were being shuttled from department to department with Sky. Disgraceful.
I THINK (my domestic staff deal with such matters) I think my BT package (broadband, calls, and line rental is costing about £30 per month
BT is worth a look, they have some good deals on at the moment

Thanks Brian, You’ve just made my mind up to change back to BT from Virgin. We had been BT customers since1968
and changed over two years ago after poor service and high bills. It sounds silly but at that time we,
(as longtime customers) couldn’t take advantage of the good deals on offer at the time so we moved on.
Sadly Virgin didn’t live up to its promises ( I never thought I would want to swap a Virgin back to something
I had discarded years ago)
Am I getting old or what?? regards kevmac47

Dave that is earmarked for a litre of “tea” whisky it is just seeing which supermarket as the best offer on as I hate wasting anything

I also was a BT customer paying approx £70 per quarter also £72 a month for SKY everything and broadband free, then they said they was going to charge £5 for broadband. So I called to say I wanted to reduce my sky, so I did keeping all my sports channels and some film, put my phone on it, which I got a years free rental which saved me £12 per month got all my calls for £5 per month and my broadband free again. now its a total of £72 pounds a month thus I am saving 4x£70 = £ 280, I have all the numbers for the different dept. have had no problem with sky since they started up, but then I was paying £4.25 per month. Dave I have a great Idea to help you out with you heating oil, buy a pump, offer free breakfast to tanker drivers, and your worries are over. Ps you might have to install another tank!
One tank is enough Norm. There has been heating oil going missing out of tanks in the area, not in the village so far.I think one tank is enough to keep an eye on.The one I have holds 3,000 litres so I think that is more. than adequate. If I get short I will put a couple of 25 gallon drums in the van and come to borrow some of you
.
Cheers Dave.
Sorry Dave the only oil you will find here, is WD40
and you are welcomed to a few drops of that!

Got some three in one oil Norm.I expect you are on mains gas living in an urban area.We could have had a gas tank when I had this place years ago,but didn’t fancy that so opted for oil.Whatever form of heating you have its going to cost money.
Me I’d sooner sweat than starve .
Cheers Dave.
