you got me thinking ange , i reckon ns finished in 1958 or 9 , i was 18 in 1960 and i missed it . that would make you a mere young slip of a lass , are you sure your son is old enough to be in edinburgh on his own ? ( nips smartly out of firing line )

But do have an older daughter as well & yep he is

But remember my dad would have been 80 tomorrow so you must all raise a glass as rude not to as he was partial to a wee dram or 3

hiya,
Ang i drink to everybody in the world on a daily basis so that will include your Dad well you know it makes sense and it is the the best excuse I have, but it doesn’t always wash with my old lady, so if I intend to carry on taking a wee dram or two I think I’m going to have to find a better excuse, I could tell her I’m off to alcoholics anonymous and when she catches me pouring myself another drink, I’ll just explain that they are not very good at their job, but honest Pet I am trying, and she will reply yes Darling you are.

I am hoping that my niece buys me a bottle of whisky for either my birthday or christmas, it will be nearly 12 months since I last tasted alchohol so getting ready for another drop of ‘anti-freeze’ to get me through the winter. Mind you, the rate that you guys get through the stuff she will be lucky to find any! :open_mouth:

Pete.

I hope your Niece manages to get you a bottle Pete. Its in a very high consumption area for whisky where you live.Seems that anywhere North of Shrewsbury is firewater country  .
Cheers Dave.
