As I said to Kev last week, retire and you can do what you want when you want.
OK, I accept that some fellas want to stay in harness, but me, no, what time there is left is mine, I’ve done a fair stint and I’ve no desire to go back, especially with todays conditions (rules, regs. traffic problems etc) It’s got dramatically worse since I finished.

If i may ask Grumps , what do you do with your time now??

As Harry says, I do quite a bit of ogling, I like to get a 2/3 mile walk every day, summer and winter, never a dull moment when the staff won’t behave, stop the spanners from going rusty by doing bits in my garage and doing my best to avoid the list of jobs she keeps leaving about the place. Believe me, I can fill every day.
Seriously, I do think it’s important to get out of the house for two or three hours every day. Prevents domestic war.

Yep was offered both on same day to start mon have made a decision which 1 I will be with

Ang I was meaning “cards in” I travelled in after my overnight stay en-route from Truro
the vehicle was a wreck " I’d mechaniced" the thing both ways and was as black as the
proverbial crow, when I asked for a decent motor the guvnor laughed I told him to lick
em’ and stick em’ jumped in my car travelled less than a quarter of a mile got a start
and was en-route to Inverness in an almost new Atki Borderer and it still wasn’t lunch
time, you’d have the game on doing that nowadays.

Has the list reared it’s head yet Kev, when it does just give it a good coat
of looking at and do a lot m’ m’ing, but your first and foremost job should
be to ferry any tools you have to the tip, no gear, no can do.

Harry has mentioned “the list” (thanks Harry ), well here’s a tip Kev, when you do get one (and you will), make a right bollox of everything on the list, same with the next one, and soon, she’ll get fed up of writing little lists out and you can get back to the business of retirement. Drilling in the house is good, little holes everywhere…“.Oops, sorry my love, got that wrong”. Interior painting, that’s another, tell her you’ll use a sweeping brush to do it, it will be quicker.

give too much information away I’m trying to make enough to go on
holiday from the royalties, and if people give all my tips away I won’t
manage a weekend in Mablethorpe, and for those people who have
never visited said place it’s where the inmates get rid of their dead by
standing them in bus shelters and local pubs.
