The original paint had a huge lead content surely H & S wouldn’t allow
the use of that nowadays, I suppose the mix formula will have changed
dozens of times since the first coat was applied, bet it’s a chilly job at
this time of year, I wonder have any of the painters had a lifetime of
employment just doing that job, must check it out on Google.

Just had a look on google Harry.They finished painting the Forth Bridge in December 2011 and because of the tougher paint it will now last 25 years before it needs repainting.

technology stealing what would have been a steady job for a
lot of workers,might be a good idea to paint cars and lorries
with the same stuff, they wouldn’t dare they’d lose too many
