i’m going upmarket tho year , our son and his wife are taking us to a posh pub in the stockbroker belt near wilmslow for christmas dinner , good job seeing as my cook has gone on strike . i’m glad i’m not footing the bill , it’s 40 quid a head plus drinks . i really will have to seek advice from the senior sector about dealing with these staff rebellions though . cheers , dave

Enjoy I will have whatever I decide to cook & when to have it as will be on own so can have when I like

I did have beans on toast one Christmas when I lived alone. My Mum had passed away a few days earlier,so I couldn’t be arsed with Christmas. The beans were OK,just fuel like any other food.
Cheers Dave.

Poss more than beans on toast as I can cook a little bit but dont blame you for that

Chuck some bacon on top of the beans Ang.
Cheers Dave.

See how I feel might just have the bacon ( as plan to paint bathroom that day )

hiya,
Now you’re talking if Nosser lands up here over the festive period Ang
might just bring him along to the “Geordie do” on the 29th of Dec and
he can open his wallet, and if he contacts me before he sets off I’ll for
a small fee teach him “how to tark proppa” so’s he can converse in the
local lingo, don’t want him cocking up at the bar and asking for cheap
whisky when only single malt will do, our Larry would tar and feather
him and dump him on the first bus South.
thanks harry, long retired.

He’s a red hot Sunderland fan Harry. We were at a meeting with a Christmas lunch to follow,so Jim popped out to his car and stuck that on for a laugh. Not bad for an 82/3 year old.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Thanks Dave at last I’ve found out where the other supporter lives.
I wonder whether he’d like to be my penpal we could maybe get em’
moving in the right direction if we pressurised the manager a bit.

I think you have a good manager Harry, just hasn’t had the luck.I rate Martin O’Neill,he’s a top manager who will get it right.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
A lot of fans are losing faith in Martin O’Neill I think (as I did) that he was going to be
the “Messiah” but things are getting desperate now, at this time some midfielders are
required, they’re playing in their own half too much so maybe when the magic transfer
window opens in January I hope there’s a few bob in the kitty to strengthen the squad
a bit, just have to wait and see and hope they can get off the bottom and get to safety
before it’s too late.
thanks harry, long retired.

Well lads Im not a great footie supporter but I do like to see the North East Teams do well, But I dont blame the managers its the bloody players that kick the ball around, & get well paid for doing it, In fact well over paid in my book, If they were paid on results they might try a bit harder, a good manager is sometimes marred by the one he has to look after, Just take the old haulage game Eh, Ive known some good traffic managers in my day, But Ive known a lot of useless so called drivers who were only ther for the money & didnt give a toss about the job or their employer so there we go Eh Regards Larry.

You lads should worry, I’m a Reading supporter and even Sunderland beat them! Got the Arsenal this weekend, another three point’s lost and the return to the Championship looks very probable. :frowning:

Pete.

I’ve been a Spurs fan since a young kid in primary school. They got rid of Harry Redknapp in the summer, just when they had started to come together. Too much money in football has ruined it.
Cheers Dave.

You lot would have reason to complain if you supposed my team! :frowning: :frowning:

Norman Ingram:

Would the be Northampton Town Norm ?
Cheers Dave.

YEP Dave the Cobblers, they have made many a supporter cry. HARRY is a little concerned I am going up to play footsies with Ang.  But I might take meals on wheels to Ang, if I can find my rollerskates :arrow_right: :arrow_right: :arr :unamused: Ang do you want afters? :imp: :imp:

Nothing to add m’lud.I value my life. :open_mouth:
