seeing as you come from the softer end of the country norman , it won’t be a chesty cough , it sounds like man flu . tell the colleen that and that you need a lot of tlc to get over it . i’m sure she will get you up and running in no time . no rush mind , you have got plenty of time before the next bowling season . cheers , dave

My advice to old Norm would be to send the Colleen to the off licence
and treat him to a nice big bottle of a decent single malt, then get in
the conservatory lock the door and have a bloody big swig straight from
the bottle that’ll shift the chesty cough but the downside could be a hell
of a hangover,but that’s easily cured with a couple of paracetamol.

Harry, my wife has been feeding me her concoctions for the last couple of weeks, Teachers whisky lemon and hot water etc, it taste horrible. 
My chest is almost clear, I have for the last couple of days sucking Covonia lozenges before I go to bed, all today I have been ok, so keep ing my fingers crossed!

Hi Norman, that Teachers is like marmite, i.e. you either love it or hate it, I have a bottle here that was given to me but to be honest to me it tastes like tcp !

Yes Trev I noticed that with Teachers. I used to get through a bottle a week and enjoyed it, then I went off drink for a while but got a bottle bought me one Christmas. I couldn’t drink it, tasted awfull, so never had any more. I liked Singletons but at £21 a bottle and only being a poor driver and not a wealthy haulier I gave that up and are now virtually teetotal! Dont miss the booze one bit, no better off financially though! 
Still got a couple of small bottles in the pantry, my neice buys me one at Christmas but they just sit there gathering dust.

We did get a stock of drink from Morrison’s the other day Larry.I have found lately some of the best deals have been online.
