No no Harry, don’t fall for womanly charms alone, I live with a set that that, fine and OK when the are packaged, but when they are not…scary. :open_mouth:

There’s more pleasure in a nice malt mate…and it’s safer.

I’m doomed, doomed I tell yea!

Mind, a good malt is a close run thing, I might not be totally beyond hope yet

hiya,
I’m secretly terrified of the fairer ■■■ Simon, do the honours pour me a rather large one while your at it, hic.
thanks harry, long retired.

Well apart from the fact that I’ll be hiding behind you Harry, which one of these do you fancy ?
I’ve got a drop of 21yr old Highland Park or some Provenance from Clynelish, or we could have a good dram of them both

Pint glasses :open_mouth: :open_mouth:
There’s three important points here:

  1. I’m a jock
  2. I’m an employed truck driver.
  3. I’ve only got 1 bottle of each and neither is completely full.
I’ll want a dram and I know animal likes a dram too.
So your welcome to use pint glasses, but I’m afraid they won’t come with pints of whisky in them

hiya,
Dave and Simon there’s a couple or so points here that need sorting out,

  1. I’m fine with you being a Scot,
  2. I’m not happy with the small measures,
  3. I’m not happy with “truck” driver, lorry or wagon please,
  4. I’m not cycling all the way to Fife for a wee dram, the bus pass doesn’t work up there.
    thanks harry, long retired.

Quite agree about being a lorry driver Harry. Has been said on this forum by several members that a truck is either a small van type pick up truck or fork lift truck etc.Americans call lorries trucks, but we don’t want to be the same as them.
Cheers Dave.

Dave, I never worried what they called me, as long as I got paid well.   But knight of road suits me.

Its all sticks and stones Norm.Me I’m just old fashioned about lorries being called trucks. Its up to the individual, but to me they will always be lorries.
Cheers Dave.

Must agree but it seem that “truck” is coming in more & more now especially with the younger ones

Well that’s their prerogative Ang.The oldies among us will keep referring to them as lorries.

hiya,
Don’t they put “trucks” under skateboards I’m sure that’s what I was told
to ask for when getting some new ones for the young’un years ago.

hiya,
Simon you would be more than welcome at the Geordies do’s at the
Labour club near Eldon Square Newcastle, next one is on the 29th of
of December this year and the following one is arranged before the
the last man hits the deck, there’s more single malt transhipped from
hip flasks out of view of bar staff than they sell o’er the counter i’ts a
good job there are plenty of beer drinkers to keep the barmaids busy
or w’ed all get turfed out, Oh’ and Dave where did you get my photo
from it’s not very flattering.
