Lawrence Dunbar:
Harry my man you made the right choice, G for Glenfiddich is the better one as Im sure you will agree, I myself prefer the G for Glemorangie, or perhaps the G spot, what do you think me new owld pal Eh, Regards Larry…

hiya,
Yes Larry the G spot is only a distant memory but fortunately my
memory is still good enough to remember where i’ve parked the
Glenfiddich although I’m supposed to leave it alone due to some
new medication I’m taking, I will try again tomorrow to stop but
not too hard it might put a lot of people out of work.
thanks harry,long retired.

There could be an even bigger recession in the Northern part of these Isles Harry if you give up the malt.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Dave I’ve had a rethink and it wouldn’t be fair to leave Larry
and the other single malt drinkers on here to prop the Scots
economy up by themselves, so I’ve binned the tablets.

Very noble of you Harry.I reckon you should have the freedom of all the distilleries in Scotland as recognition of your sacrifice.
Cheers Dave.

offer to do the dishes, you only need do this once but you must dry them
as well, just get on with it but put them away in the wrong places you are
guaranteed never to be asked again.PS Oh’ and break something special.

But why go to the expense when you’ve got a perfectly good dishwasher walking about. Credit where it’s due, they’re good at it.
She keeps saying we’ve got a dishwasher but I’ve no idea where it is, …“well, are you going to empty the dishwasher”?..“What are you on about?”

using the wagon washer, now that was big, and I wouldn’t know

Talking about cider Harry did you ever try that scrumpy used to deliver bottles to some of them farms down in Devon and Sommerset had a try like drinking petrol once del to a farm in Much Marcle Glos and the farmer ther had a nose like a road map and as many colours   never touched that crap again me n ar lass just done 5 mile walk brake linings hot now time 4 a dram eh

Hi Ray,
They make cider at Much Marcle in Herefordshire.

I went to the cider place to take barrel cradles back to them, a whole trailor load, when Carlsberg brewery wanted more space in the yard, they sorted out all the different breweries cradles, and I personally went to six cider places with cradle loads, & other breweries, also brought back our make.

Hi Norm,
I think Weston’s Cider from Much Marcle are the only one of the old cider makers in Herefordshire still family owned.
Bulmers are now owned by Heineken and a lot of their products have been moved from Hereford to Ledbury which is close to the M50.
Cheer’s Dave.

I used to back load from Bulmers sometimes in the 90s, It could be a quick load , or it could be a very long job at times, but the load was allways for the same delivery point so it wasnt too bad it was for Sunderland which was near to home for me & it was a decent pay job, ReGards Larry.,

There’s more seagulls than wasps there these days Harry.Cargill meats chicken factory, formerly Sun Valley are next door.So between them they attract the gulls.
A lot of Bulmer’s production is now at Ledbury.
Cheers Dave.
