Hi Harry,
Nearest pub from here is 2 miles, its been open and shut quite a lot in the last 10 years. There were quite a few in the local small market towns Kington,Presteigne and Knighton.Several have closed, some reopen and then one of the others close.
As you say you can buy the booze at the supermarkets for less than half the price.
Different day and age.We had a shop & post office in this village, both now shut.Just a church and village hall and 52 dwellings. With 3 farms.
I wonder does Ang get a few down her neck, then go out to top up.
Cheers Dave.

Well now you are probabley right, I offered the drink, but I wasnt offered any food Eh Ha Ha so I cant comment on the food, but mind you I would say Ang is a good cook in my opinion because she looks well, Regards Larry.

I have seen evidence of her prowess at cooking Larry.Very good and tasty.

hiya,
Not totally nissed tonight wouldn’t be able to tackle the stairs
will have to get a stairlift so “our lass” can strap me in and get
me up to bed, that’s something I’m going to give a good coat of
looking at, either that or buy a bungalow which on the face of it
is a bit extreme, I think I’ll become teetotal then all my problems
will be solved, only kidding.
thanks harry, long retired.

all old wagon drivers should have a bungalow harry cos we’ve nowt upstairs , well i live in one so that proves it , cheers , dave

hiya,
To be fair Dave had we ever had anything upstairs would we have done the “stupid” job
and there again if we hadn’t been involved would we all be talking to each other in the
friendly way we do on here, you don’t have to be crazy to read and post on here but it
sure helps.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hi Norm,
I rode motorbikes on fields and tracks as well as road bikes.Only time I came off on the road was with a Lambretta scooter on ice.I hated that scooter, byt looking back it was near indestructible and good on fuel…but it wasn’t a motorbike.
Cheers Dave.

Never had any academic ambitions this way.Always wanted to be a lorry driver. And I have lived in my bungalow for 36 years.
Never thought of the hours as unsociable, just meant more money the more hours you worked. My then girlfriend didn’t reckon much to it.
Cheers Dave.

Ang & Dave I reckoned the hours were long and unsociable when you was not enjoying the work you was doing !
