Having an ice cream,cold drink or a cold shower does not cool you down.It causes the blood vessels to constrict which makes you hotter by vaso-constriction.
The ice cream man makes a fortune.
Vaso-dilation cools you down in the heat by hot drinks and a hot shower.The vessels open up allowing you to cool down better.
Just had a warm shower and am now having a chilled beer , how am I doing tobe ?

Hi all.I’m not too sure about moving to Antarctica,I moved up here in Lappland above the Arctic circle as i hate summer and the last 2 weeks have been between 27c and 32c so i’m not at all happy.Roll on winter.

Hi Toby.As it is very similar to Canada up here we get a lot of mozzies during the summer,usually from about June until end of August.Depending where you live it can be bad or not.Because i live by a river i get a breeze so don’t have a lot of problems.The reindeer and moose have more trouble with mozzies and horse flys.We use spray if in a bad area.Fortunately the majority of the year is cool or downright Cold,down to min 40.We get snow from October until april\may so keeping warm is more of a concern than being bitten [unless it’s by a bear].This summer is the warmest up here for nearly a 100yrs.Mike
