Hi nianiamh Great photos of QFS . Were they taken at Can continentals factory in Wrexham? When i first knew of them they were running early DAF95s with Kellogs on the tautliners . Also enjoyed your Caddy shots .Where was the F10 taken looked like the Med! Thanks kk

Yeah kk the QFS pics are in the Can at Wrexham and the Caddies F10 was taken in Portugal

Yes steel to fords & Fruit back, Change overs in Banbury, Also had office in Southampton.

Nev, now thats what I call a photo. have you any other info on it,ie where or when. I like that telegragh pole you don’t see them like that nowadays

Dessert Driver, Dont forget to call in, I believe that leyland was the first diesel he had and Mr Rupert charles drove it himself, He was running three steamers before that. The picture was taken outside his house on the old A5 at Gobowen, I also have a photos of brand new Fodens from the forties of Direct transport, Show you sometime… By the way i do have the date somewere at the yard, will let you know.

Nev thanks for that,I haven’t forgotten about calling ,just not been your way for ages. We had a couple of dumpers off Ridgeways recently but sent John Anderton with our 6 wheeler for them. He returned one yesterday.I will call for tea and photos soon I hope.
