BIGJEFF:
Hello everyone been away Lawrence I,ll try to get to Hauxwells this weekend and take my computer with me he,s got the best memory i,ve ever known. I,m sitting in the wagon now and Ive remembered another Gateshead company long gone ASH alfie horns used to be behind askew road next to reed cranes went in the early nineties i think Tommy Phillips drove the Roadtrain and fukfuk drove the 4 wheeler I remember him pinching salt at Normans and putting it in his washers to stop them freezing muppet

BIGJEFF, have a look a Scammell Crusaders, there one of Jackeys on WTN208T, I think Jimmy Ruff drove it but Laurence will be able to confirm that if Im right, It is being restored which is great, I hoping when its finished they put it on here, Regards Larry

don’t understand the timeline on the new portal & where have all the photos gone?

I haven’t looked at it yet Keith, from what you say it sounds like its pants!:thinking:

And where have all the posts from Oct '11 until 12 days ago gone?

Anybody else totally confused by this new format ■■? I am by no means an IT expert but at least I could navigate the old site.
Somebody sat up all night thinking about this latest design.
As I type this a Panel has appeared to the right of the screen asking me to be:-

Constructive criticism of ideas is welcome.

This particular forum wasn’t about ideas / criticism etc. it was merely a platform where a few ageing NE haulage people could chat about times past and show a few photos.
We don’t want to be IT specialists to do this !!
Please !!! Whoever has redesigned the Trucknet site think again and consider just exactly who the users are.

Gateshead (was Tyneside)

Hopefully they will sort it out because I’m confused. I had quite a few goes trying to work it out but still finding it a up hill battle.

has anybody found any photos yet or is it just me■■?

I`ve noticed several old posts appearing on the new site, put there by Admin. I guess the older (and often large threads) are being transferred into this new site.

October 11th must have been a busy day!!!

Or even October 2011 (since when all the posts have disappeared).

Just managed to work out how to get back on here after several attempts and disappointment of failing again and again, and after a last attempt found my way back and honestly wonder if it was all worth the ball ache , very hard if computer websites are not your forte , and the layout and navigating around here are difficult to say the least ,where have all the photos that everyone took the time to upload and share , might give it another couple of weeks and the enthusiasm might tempt me to continue ,just my thoughts sorry but hope it gets better and easier … take care and good luck P
