Hi ste burrow, wallace transport used to leave some of there motors at normans cafe at brotherton at weekends in the early 80,s but this practice stopped when the locals found out that the trailers were loaded with KP nuts & crisps. Anyway here are some photos taken at the time , hope these may be of interest, regards mick.
This one was taken at Berridale Braes over 100ft tubes out of BSC Stockton,Thanks to my son v7robbie.Vic.
Hi, transporter man,
if you look up close at the trailer I am sure its the pole tr T82 after front end was put on but before we converted
into a tri axle.If it was Wilfy it would have being OCC939S the rebuilt works sleeper.Would have being Cargo
Fleet I think with pilling
Remember first Carrimore Mk9 conversionâŚyours and my new sierras on first test in the workshop
thank god it worked.Ken Robo got it after being converted.
it was taken in lackenby works and i think it was the pole tr with a canny overhang
Hi looking at it again, you are right its got H beams on its back, wonder what Wilfs up to now

No transporterman the trailer Im on about was just an ordinary flat maybe a 50ft er with the frame welded on the back. It must have been something just knocked up to satisfy Mono mans idea of not using extenable

I remember in the 60s Wallace Transport took over Frank Harrisons from Kirkby Stephen, his main contract was installation for the housing industry out of Thornaby. He ran Commer two strokes with box vans on this job,{pay was 5 Bob a hr}.vic
Doing a change over Lymm Truckstop last night dropped my trailer next to a Daf in Van Hee`s colours with a VHT registration anybody know anything thought they had given up on the haulage side when they sold out to TAL
I always feel better when I am doing it with vehicles that belong to someone else. Doing a loading trial tommorow with some Merc Sprinters.
