hiya,
Just wondering how many of these Robson’s had, they seemed very prolific way back in the late 50s when i first kicked off, I used to see them,“or was it the same one??” when wending my weary way up and down the old A6, but of course every other motor was a Robbo’.
thanks harry long retired.
I think they had several Harry, a lot of the were on the milk collecting the churns from local farms & some of them were taken to the Carnation (General Milk Products) factory at Dumfries, as you say you allways saw a Robsons motor, Regards Larry.
Crows Transport, Gateshead. If I remember correctly, the headbords had a picture of a crow in the centre, with the wording ‘As the Crow Flies’
Border Warrior. As you say, Larry, the churns were probably on their way to or from the Carnation Factory. I reckon about 54 churns on this load.
Regards, Eric.
Thats right, It was Geo Balllie, he had a mixer plant at Brunswick I think, The Merc ended up with a mixer drum on it. Regards Larry.
