This one happened outside Corkys on the valley about 5.30 at night, right on rush hour. Driver swore he put the safety clip in yet it was dangling down when I saw it. Took two recovery trucks to lift the loaded trailer back on to the unit.

if harry sees that foden and trailer he’ll be getting his overalls out of the loft . dave
Hiya,
You’re spot on “Riggers” steely’s, boiler suit and hi-viz all ready, it would be a first
for me I’d need some Foden tuition from Larry Dunbar never having driven one for
work ( I did once move one of FF Robinsons half cabs off a loading bay in London )
but that’s all I’ve ever done with them that one does look a tidy outfit though and
would loved to have driven one for comparison against my more regular eights all
being Octopus’s or Mammoths although Atkinson and ERF’s did feature when doing
a bit of holiday relief ( cash in hand ) as a youngster and still single.
thanks harry, long retired.

Anyone know the tale with the Three ERF units parked in Shorty’s old Felling yard, they have been there for quite a while and are in danger of merging with the hedgerow, seems a shame to let them rot in peace! Franky.
Frankydobo was in the yard next to shortys the lads said the owner of the waggons comes odd times into yard but they say he has a yard full of old cars vans etc across the bypass. Puts then into tele programes and into Beamish when needed never got his name but if you phone shortys they would know. Hope this help’s cheers bob
Cheers Bob, that could be the same guy that used to buy our old Fire Appliances for film work etc, well at least those units haven’t been left to rot, I know they have been there a while and I just kept forgetting to ask if anyone knew the story on them. Franky.
