just looking through my photobucket account and i had forgotten i had these in there, i will post a few in the trucking in the 80s thread in the old timer section, but for now enjoy! (i used to work for them, the wrecker is still used, and the atkinson one is still about but in need of a resto, sadly i dont think its for sale)
hope you enjoy
I see the T Cab about occasionally whilst I’m on my travels around Essex. There was a similar coloured Series 3 T cab unit at a garage in Woodham Mortimer (between Maldon & Danbury) recently. I think it was up for sale.
There’s a whole collection of rag bag motors appeared there, but nothing suggesting that they sell trucks or what. It’s behind the Splendid Hand Car Wash.

its a bonneted volvo mate, n series, it goes like a rocket (in one of the first pics, theres a guy climbing out of the atki, thats alan who built both wreckers, recently retired)
dont think i know the garage you mean, but when i go on the bulk we sometimes go that way i will keep my eyes peeled, cheers!
Great pics Mat, the old Atkinson wrecker is terrific.
Those old Volvo N series were great looking trucks, bring back memories of pics in TRUCK magazine back in the 70’s!!!
But you rarely see one nowadays, whereas there’s usually an F88/9 at most vintage shows you go to…

Just checking you know.
I think it was the series 3 T in similar colours that set my mind off on a tangent. I haven’t noticed the other one at the garage lately but it might have been rotated round behind another.
The garage is on the A414 after Danbury, just after the roundabout where the road turns left for Maldon (Oak Corner) It’s at the back of the Splendid Hand Car Wash with the bright yellow railings.
