Old Motor Gets Damaged

The Foden I had for 7 years has had it’s n/s step and part of the front bumper taken off by the new driver that’s only had it for 3 weeks. I’m no clean, polish and pimp up driver but I did feel sad to see it in a state this morning. Not long ago we’d not dream of a wagon going out on the road in that state.
Felt the same when my first motor was relegated to dumper status and was wrecked within a month.
Has anyone felt like this when their “old girl” has seen better days?

My old 01 premium rigid is now the spare lorry, and doesnt get cared for,i have some memories both good and bad in that wee wagon,it needs a regular driver to look after it again.Sometimes i run it through the wash for the sake of it,but i have a big enough job keeping my current wagon in good order.

Couple of second hand dafs parts will make it look good as new.

I drove an 06 plate XF before I started on my own but as I still park in the yard of my employer I have been able to see the demise of my old wagon! Each week it came back with a little bit less of the near side mirrors and front step. The diesel tank also took a blow on a weighbridge somewhere and the inside…well I can’t bear to describe what it’s like now!!

She still does drive it, considerably faster than me I understand. Still, I ‘ve just removed Gill Mills’ infamous potholes so the drivers can now break the quarry speed limit instead of breaking a spring.
