Interesting pic, where was that taken bud?
It was taken in Chichester on March 22nd 2012 at 13:05. (Thanks to digital cameras that record everything. When I was using film it was rare when I could remember many details).
2 pics from Malta of 2 old girls still earning a living
This lad still does his bit…
this earns it`s keep on a fruit and veg farm near leeds
These are my last weeks pics, on the exhibition work at the London Excel with the box van, and moving a drilling rig (maggy D) and all its bits the pipes and ISO’s. The Maggy was a bit of a brute a 1979 with a V10 air cooled, sorry if you got stuck behind us on the a50/m6
spotted this old ■■■■■■■ my way back from Wrexham last friday
" Lucky Charm " is the name on the front of this Leyland tipper,
photographed basking in the sunshine on the island of Malta , last week.
Quite a few Ergomatic-cabbed Leylands and A.E.C.s are still hard at work , - frequently well overloaded .
Cheers , cattle wagon man.
I was pleasantly surprised to see this Scammell Scarab on the quayside on The Waterfront, Valletta , Malta last week.
It is a working/exhibition combination in the name of MaltaPost, - the equivalent to our Post Office/Royal Mail.
It reminded me of the similar G.P.O. outfits of the 1950`s , with Bedford and Austin/Morris as the prime movers.
I was unable to take a photograph from the other side , the water`s edge was too near for my risk of stepping back and…!
Just something different from the ordinary , I thought.
Cheers, cattle wagon man.
Good pic. cattlewagonman. Can’t be many Scarabs left now, especially working ones.Got to hand it to the Maltese for keeping these things going.Must get myself over there!
Not on the road but still working. This old girl is tidier than a lot of the blinged up stuff that is on the road.
We saw this old plodder in action near Buxton yesterday:

My old girl, 23 years old and not a computer or poxy ECU in sight.looks tidy that! have you any more pic’s ?
That reg seems familiar, not ex Langdons by any chance? I’ve still got my fleet phone list at home from about’93 so will look and check up, and who owned her. Glad to see her still at it, brilliant machines.
Here is another photograph of the Scammell Scarab, still at work as an exhibition vehicle.
There are similarities to the former G.P.O. mobile service counters.
In the background can be seen a cruise liner , docked at Valletta`s Waterfront, Malta.
Cheers, cattle wagon man.
Spotted this gem just outside worcester on the hereford road
