hiya havnt been on long and I cant find any references to robsons of Carlisle,can anybody point me in the right direction, also do any drivers remember the days before sleeper cabs,when I worked at onward transport we used to have pieces of wood from the door ledges to the bonnet then 3 old cushions from a settee and a sleeping bag happy days,. before that it was digs does anybody remember mrs millars at Abington scotland

Back in the late 70’s early 80’s there used to be a lorry park on the old cattle market in Northampton. There also used to be a local B&B that would send a minibus to collect drivers, take em back to the digs and return them in the morning. Spent many a night in those days out on the lash around Northampton with other drivers: Everyone had names based on where they were from: Scouse, Taff, Jock etc. Can’t remember the name of the b&b.

Don’t remember the name of the digs,but I used them many times as I worked for Casdon Toys at Blackpool at the time good times.How time flies…
