For you Men of Oxenford with the bus “home” for you Chris. The bus terminus 58 years ago(for me) was on Wood Farm Rd opposite Mrs McCann’s for a cup of tea and a plate of cakes/biscuits for a tanner. Most routes had “tea” houses in them days.

Hi Oily, Is that bottom pic with the buses a modern Oxford shot, 'cos I wouldn’t recognise them. Your last post is more like the ones I knew, or something like these.

Hello George, good to hear from you again, AEC Regent CWL 968 sat at Summertown terminus 1961, No 2 routes Summertown and Cutteslowe to Barton East and West.

One for Jakey, it’s from a collection of BRS wagons put together by Alan Grimmett who at one time was on for BRS Southern, there are a few more Oxford ones when I get them sorted.

Thank you Oily, look forward to seeing the oxford depot photos , now I think this f88 was a Swindon wagon or am I wrong ? it looks like fleet number starts with ME ? ,As far as I kno w we only had one 88 driven by the late Ron Willmott "Rocket Ron ".

Just found this letter in paperwork in the loft, didn’t think I was that light-footed with my old F7 Did a variety of work with her on General, happy days Chris
Well done Chris, A Volvo jacket, happy days eh !!! If you had been driving an ERF you would have got a flat cap and a racing pigeon. Harvey
One or two more BRS with Oxford reg. Jakey, leave you to sort them out, again from Alan Grimmet’s collection of photos on flickr and not necessary his takes.

Hello BigG-unit , my photo is of the early Sandy lane Oxford depot before it was reduced late 70s .
Big yard then Jakey, you can just see the last block of flats on Priory Rd Minchery Farm Estate in the background. Spring Lane, the railway line the other borders.

Would that be J Hardings yard then? I know I should know, but I can’t recognise it from the pics. Mind you it was a long time ago now! I ran into BRS in the early '90s, when all the BL Rover stuff went there, but I think only the workshops were there then. (and lots of bloody empty bins that we always had to wait for)
