Old Firms in Oxford Area

Did anyone see that Isuzu 7.5 ton tipper around Oxford this morning, loaded up with waste wood? Had two bits of pink carpet for a fly sheet, ratcheted down.
No?
Good.

Didn’t see it, but got a phone call to tell me it was you.

Is that a trade plate in the window?
Could’ve been to have it’s side scan cameras fitted. It’s not the regular driver behind the wheel.

Quick Google check Oily says there is a automatic sheet manufacturer in Yorkshire.

That Daf of Smiths was at Tip-Ex at Harrogate this year. So could have been on the way back after the show.

I think you’re right, that was one of the batch of “16s” that were almost 66 regs. I think that one is based out of Ardley stone quarry.
For “superlite” bodies, the payloads are poor; 18.6t. There are heavy duty muckshifters around that carry the same or more than that.

Got a subbie doing a muck job for us so I can pick and choose. :sunglasses:
