I’ve got this until tomorrow night when this will be tidied up and resprayed, and I get mine. The interior is unbelievable for an 06 reg. I’ve been a bit OCD this week with keeping it as I found it.

So where’s all the photos of the new one, then? Still polishing, I s’pose?
:unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Getting it tomorrow morning mate. Had a choice of a 59 plate 380 or the sister of the one I’ve been driving; I’m having the sister wagon with the 420.

What’s all this “choosing” business? Most times, when joining a new employer, I’d be pointed in the direction of the roughest heap, given a handful of delivery notes and told to go!
Molly-coddled youngsters! Bah, humbug! :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Ah, but it isn’t a ‘new employer’ now ROF, he has been there a couple of weeks now! Positively long service for our Muckaway!

Pete.

Gold watch next week, then?
I was expecting a Tax Disc after driving for one firm for five years!

Hi Keith, yes mate we had 2 wagons driven by Barry Harper & Les Jackman that did 2 trips to Swindon a day each from 733/Unipart at Cowley. Nice easy job if you don’t mind repetition! Regards Chris

Pete.

  This is my second week, Pete. It’s a new venture by them, hence choosing a wagon. Of the three new drivers I’ve the most tipper experience. I managed to get someone to take four loads of muck the other day to use as subsoil on a landscaping job to save me time running it to Tubney Wood tip (and saving our customer a tidy sum in tipping charges). :grimacing:
Seriously it is a really nice job, I’m happy (for once)

Here she is; The “Leedale” will be given the heat gun treatment apparently when it’s signwritten in David Einigs’ livery. There’s a good chance the sunvisor will have “AW Cleaver” on it. The interior was a bit scruffy but after attacking it with some pound shop products and a few “decorations” it looks very smart inside. :sunglasses:

Retired in Malta, with thanks to hamster!.
Oily

Oily, do you know whereabouts in Malta this was taken? My boss’ are very keen on tracking this down with a view to restoring it…

You were just waiting for the sun to come out!

They say we’ll be having sun up here, too. Sometime in May, possibly. :unamused:

Hi bjf, Welcome to the forum. For me fascinating 1st pic you put on there  , as you may have seen from some of my pics on this thread I did my Apprenticeship on Leyland Transport, Cowley, what was your Dad’s name & how long was he on there for? Regards Chris

DONT YOU RECOGNISE HIM ? YOU HAVE MENTIONED HIM BEFORE ON HERE. WHEN YOU PASSED YOUR TEST HE LET YOU TAKE THE CLYDSDALE TO BICESTER FOR TEST, YOU WERE TOLD TO REMOVE THE FLAGS FROM WINDSCREEN. THIS WAS WHAT HE TOLD ME TO REPLY. I WORKED AT BRS WITH JAKEY AND HE HAS MADE A MENTION TO ME BEFORE.
