They told me its best served chilled, I was just trying to keep the customer happy!
My favorite job on the agency
I’m not surprised, one of the easiest jobs I’ve ever had, particularly I switched to nights, that was so easy it was frightening! Had this FH brand new, this was first day out with her, night out about 6 drops along the south coast if I remember right.
Hi chris , I remeber the reg number but I know nothing about the driver or the accident , ( hope he lived) , also that sed aki looks like it did a few miles with all those stickers ,It could of been mine as its too dirty !!!

Switched to these in the end, automatic boxes, I liked them, so easy my 5 year old could drive one!
I must have worked with you on nights, started on for Inploy when they had the T reg volvo’s and was there on and off until i left to go on for Faccenda at Brackley in 2006
I’ll probably get abuse for posting this and it’s set at a time when Abingdon was in berkshire but what the hell (there must be some people that remember the station and the MG car works ) gwr.org.uk/layoutsabingdon1.html
Big g-Unit will know if this is accurate gwr.org.uk/layoutsfairford1.html
Anyone who complains it’s not Oxfordshire/about lorries; The GWR did run Vulcan and Thorneycroft lorries and BR had the famous Scammell 3wheelers
Now then, young Nathan, don’t you be trying to get me into trouble by going right off topic and talking about railway models! Anyway I can’t remember too much about it, long time ago now! but I can remember the little engine shed and the crew cabin and that looks about the right position. I also remember how strange it was that it just stopped in the middle of nowhere, so to speak. So, to get us back on track, (no pun intended!) Here are a couple of ‘ideas’ pictures of my station approach, sort of mock up stage. Based in the Thames Valley, end of '60s, poor quality, but only for ideas, you understand, Not Oxford firms, but at least they are road vehicles!

Hi Andrew
The 3 Champs pics I’ve posted on here are Squibbs, I didn’t have any Champs shots so called round his house a few weeks ago & borrowed those few. You are right mate you’re old Cannons Daf 2800 did look tidy, I’d gone long before they changed the colours, what ever posessed them to go from what I always thought was a great livery to that boring white with a couple of naff little stripes on the door? Barry Blake, thats the kiddy, had a couple of nights out with Barry, he could tell a bed-time story, didn’t know whether I should have had a pint in my hand or a cup of Horlicks! Is he still around?
Regards Chris
