Old Debach Seddon Atkinson

Was loading in Debach at Ipswich Monday just gone, and spoted this Seddon, which is 1 of 2 Shunters they have down there.
Sadly the Shunter gave me a right bollocking for taking pictures, so had to be a bit sneaky, so they’re not the best quality…

How dare you! How very dare you! God there are some miserable gits around, what harm were you doin!

Nice try thou.

I see he gave you a typically warm Ipswich welcome then !

I think part of his problem is its the Bosch/Qualcast site, and he might have thought i was casing the joint! LOL

I think you’ve raised an intersting point there. A lot of us enjoy taking decent pics of interesting trucks, and yet I always feel very uneasy about doing so, except at a show, where you could argue that the trucks are being shown off to all comers. I guess I can understand the security concerns ‘on site’, and also we don’t normally know what a truck is carrying either - you just have to look at some of the recent experiences posted on here regarding hijackings etc - so I could understand a driver being a bit paranoid about any unsolicited interest.

I suppose if you walked out of the door and saw some stranger taking pictures of your car or house you’d want an explanation from them, so I guess it’s understandable.

Do people find it’s better to ask before taking pics, or just wait til the driver isn’t looking■■?

he was probably annoyed he had to drive that nail about all day!

very true mate… even though i enjoy taking pics i sometimes feel like a pillock… so sometimes just get the camara out quick and snap and then off quick style before the driver gets out … happened a few times where the driver is out and confronting me about wot am up to…

usually just drive off with a thimbs up…

i worked 4 subie on debach and cause i was not from suffolk the drivers didnt talk…there all in breeds
