Passed it’s MOT today 
so finally got chance to legally “try it out” on way to and from test station. Actually am not really much the wiser as the old-school cable speedo (not tacho) wobbles like a jelly and it’s almost impossible to tell which number belongs to which mark anyway. Also was narrow rural roads so plenty else to think about.
Anyway, my unscientific impression was that it can comfortably do 50mph and 60 will be on the edge of the red, if not in it. It’s very nice to drive though, particularly in town where it seems you can do nearly anything in 4th gear!
We can get tax tomorrow, then we can try on the motorway and find out for sure. The MOT tester’s comment was interesting, while being 22 years old it only has 45,000Ks on the clock and isn’t run in yet!
