im just thinking should i trade my 05 plate daf cf for a 09 plate scania never driven a scania so am not sure how they are to live in. Any veiw is greatfully accepted thanks chaps look forward to reading what your veiws are reguards chris

I would have thought it might be wise to go and have a go in it etc before deciding to trade 
I used to have a 85CF Skycab, cracking motor which never ever let me down and I sold it for 3k less than I paid for it after 4 years. Got a Scania Topline now , cracking reliable truck but I’m one of the 5% on here that’s Scania biased

Inmo Scania haven’t built a decent truck since the 3 series, I’ve had 4, 91 113 380 best truck ever, 97 124 400 worst truck ever, 04 164 480 way too thirsty, 06 124 420 red dot auto crap gearbox. Never have another.
FFS dont get one with the overdrive gearbox, utter sh*te!!
Overpriced to start with but no matter what the 95% tell you they did’nt get where they are today by building utter ■■■■■■Good simple truck’s ,a 420 R Hi/topline in 6x2 manual box will give decade’s of service in the right hand’s
I rate scania other makes have some better points but as an all round package I think scania do it best.
Although I haven’t seen or driven the new actros yet.

And 1% of us can’t see out of the windscreen because its to low down and that stupid big sun visor makes it even worst the truth is really that 95% of us know how to add up or use a calculator and know Scannies are over rated and over priced, but were not complaining because they’re a sort of work in the community scheme that attracts the ‘‘shiny shiny’’ brigade, keeps them happy and stops them from hanging around street corners…but shhhhush

the ones in our yard go back as far as 09,there on about 700,000,original ones were 58 reg i thinkbeen driving these for 5 years and have never had one break down yet or had any issues with them of any kind,to be honest they drive like the day they arrived,feel like theyve got a lot of life in them yet,run 24/7,serviced properly but do get a abusd as there not one driver trucks,anyone uses them,got a r-440 highline at moment,very happy with it
the scania issue aside, why would you want to spend money in this climate if you dont have to?
Had mine remapped to make it hold topgear for longer, its like a different truck now.
