Oh No! No Sat Nav!

i got my sat nav out of my bag this morning & i realised i’d broke the screen.
i’ve not used it for a while as i knew all the places i was going to recently

i was in a 4 wheeler rigid for a change, doing some ADR mutli drop work around notts/derbyshire area,so what do you do■■? go back to the old way ibefore sat nav’s,an A to Z map book

luckily the guys wagon i was in,had a few a to z maps of the areas i needed & i have to say i found it a lot easier to go back & use a couple of maps & see where the roads/streets are i needed to deliver to.it just made life a lot easier than relying a piece of electronic kit that will try & send you all over the shop, thru housing estates etc also found it a lot less stressful as well

been driving like that a lot longer then we have with satnavs

how ever, they are a VERY VERY handy bit of kit.

On trade plates ,I get paid by the mile, so if I set my sat nav I know how much I am being ripped off.

I like to use mine because apart from when i get stuck in traffic It’s really accurate in giving me my time of arrival which means you can plan breaks a little easier.

That’s alI I use mine for (on familiar routes) People seem to appreciate an accurate…ish E.T.A
