Off topic cbt and bike theory question

I booked my cbt the other day for this thursday. However my counterpart went for a spin in the washing machine I have now laminated it I know if the plod pull me it’s not legal but I need it for my weekly license check. Where it’s laminated catergory a isn’t really visible but the date is as well as cat d d1 d1e and h. Do you think they will just ring dvla maybe as it will take 3 weeks for my new one after ive ordered it. Also what about the theory centre its cost me 150 upto now so dont really want to be out of pocket. Thanks for any replies! Please tell me all is fine :smiley:.

All driving licence records can now be accessed online. You don’t need to do a theory test for the CBT so hopefully the instructor will be happy with the online check. I’m not so sure the test centre will allow it when it comes to the full theory test. Best thing to do is apply for the replacement ASAP. In all my dealings with the DVLA they’ve never taken anywhere near as long as what they say you should allow.

Then WHY DO IT :unamused: you could just put it in a a4 plastic wallet after all your still keeping it flat.

Between me and you mate my mum still does my washing for me she put it through washer and laminated before telling me lol.

Im going for full bike license so booked full theory for this saturday. Hopefully ldc will be ok about it though for the cbt part it cost 120 i dont mind losing 30 for the theory.

Call them and explain. You may be able to change the date without any fees. If you wait till the day you will lose any money.
