@Young_Josh

What’s wrong with Renaults?
Ahhhhh! they’ve been taken over by ovlov". [zb] it’s a 4 lettered word then! No… not ovlov divies … [zb]. :smiley:

I’ve seen Dafs in stobart colours. Always assumed they were subbies or ex Irlam motors.

Whats wrong with renaults?

Well, with the new Premiums, they use a Volvo engine and drivetrain. So they got the Volvo I-shift, which is nice.
And these Volvo engines have no bother whatsoever.

Trouble is, they stick a Renault cab on top of them, it’s all the bolt on Renault ■■■■ that goes wrong.

What Renault should have done was, take a Volvo lump and driveline, put it into a volvo chassis and stuck a volvo cab on top.
Then they’d have a decent motor.

They could still stick a Renault badge on the front, because badges rarely break down.

Based on what I’ve seen today, I think the truck taking over is the Mercedes Axor. Traffic was bad in Kendal and out of 12 trucks I passed, 8 were Axors! :open_mouth:

The DAFs belong to a subbie from Carlilse. Only got 2 left now i think, they are being changed to Scanias. The Magnum is a subbies from Harrogate area and based in Goole. It was bought to do the bio mass job but its still in Goole on the Tesco job.

Saw a brand new XF 105 Stobart last week. Artic.
