Funnily enough I almost never use that section of the A1.
If I’m going south I come off the moor and use the A64 joining the A1 at Bramham crossroads, and if I’m going north west I drop down Sutton Bank and join the A1 near Thirsk. So the bit in between Bramham and Boroughbridge I never see. I know its been upgraded and I’ve probably been up it once or twice thats all.
If I’m going north I don’t use it at all, I go up the Helmsley TT to Stokesley (B1257) and pick up the A19.
