Good, bad, pay, attitude from the office, the usual stuff much appreciated
i know a few people that work, and have worked for them
it seems to be a case of, ‘if your face fits’, as they can seriously affect how much you earn
Any idea how there paid hourly load etc
I know a dude that works on the tanks there,can’t comment on how the pay scheme works,but he seems to like it as he’s done around 12 months now and before he was jumping ship every few months.
I know a couple of chaps on tanks, they earn about 600 a week, but they max there hrs out all time…

600 could be right in bank, i know of a job 550 after tax, and a chap i know who drives for clarkes said he was on more money,
also he seems happy there,

Yes, tanker rates are quite good, compared with other work, when on percentage…
I work for Clarkes and we get a basic wage plus a bonus on what the truck earns and it’s the same story as anywhere else with similar pay schemes.There are lads on here that don’t do a lot and don’t earn anywhere near the money your talking about but if you get your finger out and get gone early on a Monday the money is there to be earnt,I am away Mon-Fri every week but there are lads that are home every night but don’t expect to be set on if you don’t do nights out.
We do European work as well so it helps if you’ve had some experience over the water. I was on tippers but I’ve just gone onto the tanks but it was my choice nothing to do with the tippers being a bad job,
I think Shaun and all the office staff are some of the best I’ve ever worked for and it would have to be some remarkable job before I would work full time for anyone else,
If you do your job,don’t keep ringing up moaning and try not to do any damage you’ll get on with Shaun and his sons no problem.
The thing I really like is they don’t bother you at all if your getting the job done,we are all on tracker and you just get a text with your next job when they see your getting near your tip,
In summary the job is sound as far as I’m concerned

Even the lads who had been on their for years will tell you that they have no idea how Shaun comes up with the figures for the earnings, Shaun is a basic decent bloke but has no idea of routing in Europe so you will go the way he tells you regardless of time of day & traffic, be prepared for days where you sit it Celsa all day and earn FA other than the basic, About £300 a week before tax when I was there. If yer face fits you will get the cream jobs if not be prepared for ■■■■ jobs that don’t pay. the Lads are sound & will help you…Oh and if after a week you want to deck young Dave Clark, join the back of a very long queue lol
