So I get to the Gym tonight, walk straight past it as usual and head to the pool for a swim. What do I see in the pool - a teen with the white leads hanging out of its ears. Now I have lost count of how many teens have walked out in front of the truck whilst connected to the white leads but this takes the biscuit - in the swimming pool, attached to a cylinder on its arm. I guess you call this an itube? My question is this:
What happens if a teen disconnects from their smartphone?
Do they go to sleep, shut down, reboot, die, catch a virus or does their brain crash?
There must be serious consequences from detaching from a smartphone because why else would you stay connected to the ■■■■ thing 24/7?
Please enlighten me…
Dunno mate, I drive a truck for a living
i listen to music while swimming too, saves listening to the old dears talk about who’s popped their clogs this week while doing the slowest breast stroke you’ll ever see.
water proof headphones are great pieces of kit. btw I’m 21 so not quite a teen
Welcome to TruckNet.
It’s good to see you’ve made your first post a rant; you should fit in well here.
However, it’s generally considered good practice to rant about something relating to lorries (or trucks, if you’re that way inclined) when ranting on TruckNet.
Those leads are as u say keeping him alive! What he can hear thru said leads is “in, out, in, out, in, out etc etc” otherwise he/she would forget to breathe!

Just the way it is now folks , if I take my Daughters tappy lappy of her she just sulks in the corner , then I cease to be her Dad ,I become an ogre and the look of hatred in her eyes towards me , better just to give it back and save all the hassle , not as if a 13yr old is going to sit and have in depth discussion with me , let them play their consoles, laptops ,iPads and iPods, better their face buried in them and their Happy as Larry ,Bullet the Dog ( quote from tv programme The Scheme ) .
I hadnt thought of that, must get a set myself as soon as i get rid of my armbands and float ring
