Well done nice one, thats what im hoping for this year.
I’m currently on my TANKER course with Diesel Dave (lunch time) having done the packages etc with him in January.
Having seen what can happen to tankers (fire/explosion etc? I don’t wanna be a tanker driver I’m only doing the course out of interest.
Best of luck finding ADR work that actually pays more. Seems to be getting less and less

The actual rate of pay isn’t my 1st concern to be honest, rather have a good job where treated slightly better than the usual general rubbish.

Hi Wayne,
Congratulations on passing your ADR.
Thanks for posting this, cos it’s not that often that I actually get to know how ‘my’ guys got on.
Except for the very few that need a re-sit.

Don’t be a tanker driver then, more money pulling stuffed toys to an RDC, and even though the joker’s in the office couldn’t even spell half the stuff you carry they will look down the hooters at you. As a driver no matter what you pull, we will always be pond life.

But for the grace of god (as someone else said on here), could’ve been me resitting, they say you learn by your mistakes though and 4 weeks on, I know the questions I got wrong, so must be true
Dave,i have had my reminder through as my ADR runs out next January,I have been told that i have to do a complete course at full price as you cant just do the refresher anymore …is this true??..how much is it these days??

If you think yuor going to be treated any better because you’ve got an ADR licence, your going to be in for a shock. The worst job I’ve ever done was for a large Hazchem carrier.

Worth a try and gives more of a selection, so if treated like crap, move on and try someone else.
Just had a shock when applying for a job, wanted a TEN year checkable history filled out, over 2hrs later I realised I was just about 6yrs in…
When I was 21, I’d already had more jobs than my dad had by time he’d retired, then I went onto busses in 2000 where you left a job at 10 am and started another job the next day (or the same day in 1 case), then I came onto HGV’s in 2007, jeez, a 10 year checkable history is impossible
Nice one Wayne, well done mate.
