Hello Dave, glad you are around again, need all the help I can, to keep Harry under control, if it is possible, but he he is not all bad, just a lovable rogue
, I am going to get my own back on Trevor H, and post the photo of Harry & Trev, I have got to get it out of the camera into my laptop then over to trucknet, but it will happen?
. I thought I was slow on gadgets, but Harry has a phone made out of two beer cans and a piece of string

hiya,
Believe me Old Normās not telling porkies, me and modern technology are as compatible as oil and water i would feel more at home working with steam, the funny thing is I couldānt care less just donāt want to improve never yearned for the next new motor quite happy with a hand me down, you donāt have to wash them, and my cellphone i think is previously owned by Noah but it does work but possibly two beer cans and a lengfh of string may be an improvement, donāt use it very often usually only get through a couple of quid a month.
thanks harry long retired.
Hi Harry,
I think you are being a bit modest about yourself again.A lot of your generation would not have a clue about computers for a start, something which you have mastered as good as any of us.
I quite agree with you about new lorries, far better to have a bigger wage packet than a new lorry.
Cheers Dave.
hiya,
Not being modest Dave my computer is set for me by a young friend who lives close and i have very little to do to get on line and post the odd message, any problems i only have to shout help or wait till my grandaughter calls āsheās 7ā and she can usually get me going but as for really knowing what iām doing me and two short planks are on the same wavelength, but i think i can spell and iāve noticed quite a few on here who are not too clever in that department but they are understood and as welcome as the flowers in May on here, iām just glad it really does take all sorts to make the vworld go round.
thanks harry long retired.

Hi Harry,
You are in the same league as me as far as problems with computers are concerned.I have to get someone in to sort things out when a problem occurs. Only self taught myself on these things, and very basic to say the least, but never mind we get by. As for spelling Iām not to bad,do make the odd mistake, try to get it right,my two sisters are school teachers,me just a diesel dog
.
Cheers Dave.
Well lads I got a laptop so I could keep in contact with my mates in faraway places, my daughter showed me how to email and get on line, then she said they are doing a course at Moulton village, so I thought I would learn something, she enrolled me, I went along, and they started to show us how to use the mouse, I said I can do that, then they had us making drawings, this was two afternoons, the second two sessions was how to e-mail, I said I can do that, and I have booked several holidays on line, was told it was a waste of my time, to come to those lessons, for I could do it. I wanted to learn technical things how to get me out of little problems, but it never happened, but picked up things from my daughter, and learnt things from trial and error, but photo bucket is too many things, when you can send things on e-mails with a couple of clicks.

hiya,
Did think of having a go at one of those ācomputing for beginnersā courses Norm but after what youāve told me i wonder would i too be wasting my time, maybe iād be better off having a go at a āhow to use a camera course for thickoāsā i would most likely fail on that one as well, i wonder does the college run a course on āroping and sheeting for the new age truckerā bet i could get the job as head lecturer on that one, what a claim to fame being able to rope and sheet, imagine that on your CV after a lifetime in the business "I can rope and sheet"itās a quality which is as much use as a chocolate fireguard in this modern age.
