Poor girl.

Slightly better news

Yeah … at least she is awake now.

just read on sky news that she’s lost an eye.

Tragic for her and her aspirations.I really hope she makes an otherwise full and complete recovery.

The BBC ran the same news earlier. With only one eye, I can’t see how she can continue in motor sport at the highest levels due to lack of stereoscopic vision - I expect it’s a medical fail for any sort of FIA licence (and for LGV / PCV entitlement too, isn’t it - at least on UK rules).

As you say, I hope she makes steady progress. Meanwhile, I’m sad to hear of the death at Millbrook, which is only a few minutes from where I live.

Saw some pictures of the car buried under the truck an awful accident on what should be a pretty straight forward test.
It used to be that if you only had sight in one eye you wouldn’t get an FIA licence, but Lord Drayson challenged that by racing in America and he was then allowed to take part in the Le Mans 24 hr race. So maybe her racing dreams aren’t over.
