A but old hat albion, but nice to see you’re not blaming it on a motorist going safely about his or her way for a change, though perhaps they should have taken into account that a loony might just run out in front of them or jump off a bridge. Still, for poor Mr Hollinshead (the man subsequently stabbed to death by one of them after letting them stay the night), an excellent example of why people should be wary of strangers.

It’s odd that women are by default “afraid of strange men being potential axe murderers” - but even when the alarm bells are ringing loudly for not one, but TWO women being total nutcases - there happened to be a good samaritan there to become an unfortunate victim. There wasn’t even any suggestion of poor Mr Hollinshead being anything but a perfect gentleman.
The article linked above mentions Sabina pleading guilty to Manslaughter, and merely being sentenced to 5 years, but being released before the end of the following year.
