Wonder if his boss will be happy

Fair play, that delivery will be made lol

It made the national news, the driver had to be rescued with an amphibious craft with wheels and an outboard, he was only 200 yards from a dry bit of road.

A shameful piece of lightweight driving, typical of the current crop.

Looks at least 18" deep :open_mouth:

Given that the air intake would be higher than the water level, why did he need to be rescued?

Surely the water wasn’t that deep that he couldn’t make it?

Ken.

Exactly, after almost 25 years in the game I know a lightweight when I see one, and I see one here.

Barely covering the tyres tut tut.

Prob had to have a break :unamused:

I can often be found in the water…in my car though

That looks like to much fun drift. Would do nothing fort OCD going through that though lol.

A37 down by Dorchester, where the road splits and goes under the bridge - can’t think of the name of the village - always flood when we get heavy rain for a few days - I’ve had the bow wave hitting the bottom of the windscreen on a MAN and still made it out the other side of a flood - keep the gear low & the revs up no problem.

Went down the same road the next night & the police shut the road coz of the flood; had to go the long way round

What a bloody light weight even my little SJ can get through water deeper than that!!

I have driven through water far deeper than that in the past in both trucks and cars. Thursday before Good Friday 1999 (could have been 98) in Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire if anyone remembers we had very bad flooding that day, I drove an Audi 80 through several floods that came over the top of the bonnet with no problem, if I had stopped I have no doubt it would have taken in water but if you keep going you can get through. Just look at the episodes of Top Gear where they have driven through rivers that are well deep. It’s just a matter of keeping your calm and moving steadily.

No I can’t see why he stopped.

Drive it on.

Our yard is worse than that in places, I would have gone through it, in fact I’d go through deeper!

^^are you on for King Stag lol. Their yard is a lake
