In Germany, a health ministry official told AFP news agency that the government was also considering banning flights from the UK, and South Africa, where the variant has also been detected.

So anyone with an early morning Marmite delivery to Johannesburg might want to pay attention

BBC say flights and EuroStar banned (initially for 24hrs) from Belgium and Holland. *
No mention of Marmite or cheddar.

Variant also in Australia. Did someone sneeze downwind without using their elbow?

  • flights and train ex UK banned from entry, I meant.

I suppose that Barnier and Brexit could be blamed for germ warfare ?

Barnier has been travelling to London a lot so maybe he had a flask of ‘tea’ and a picnic hamper of cheddar and ham sandwiches to give to Moggs workhouse urchins .

( I have Sidney Powell on speed dial in case any one is going to sue )

Have the new tiers affected us ‘essential’ workers? We’re T4 now and my delivery point is also T4… are we still allowed out to play?

Austria is the latest to have suspended travel from the UK, announcing the move shortly after Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium made similar decisions. Others, including France and Germany, look poised to follow suit.

But all these countries and others are only talking about flights and trains . No mention at all on tourist or freight traffic.

Won’t be looking good for Romania or Bulgaria in 2 weeks judging by the number of people from these 2 countries on the ferry this morning heading home

All pointless in a way. Heard on radio earlier that there is.going to be a huge police presence on the main roads on and.out of Scotland.
But next min a spokes man said although there be a presence we won’t be stopping anyone …so what the point of.not Gona be stopping anyone

Won`t affect us.
We all know the EU would grind to a halt without our support…

I believe covid is a thing.

But I’m sceptical about this announcement that London and south east has sever cases …reason being I’m from Manchester… we’ve been in level 3 for ages.

And can’t but think that borris is going to announce rises in London South East are rising out if control so there going to get the vaccine 1st .
In yet another snub to the North

You’re welcome to it I’ll refuse it if offered.
A vaccine for an artificially created ‘virus’ which they’ve predictably admitted the body has no immune response to.IE if you catch it and ‘recover’ from it you can catch it again. How does a ‘vaccine’ supposedly fix that.
Anyone remember the Gulf War syndrome scandal.
Porton Down is involved in this for a reason. It’s no civilian natural virus that they are dealing with and the government should have admitted it from the start.Including answering the question as to why did they let it in.
Instead of locking down China then, not locking down bleedin Kent and Surrey etc 1 year later.

The Marmite must get through - never mind Johnny Foreigner … What ho and tally ho

If you’d said this time last year, that today we’d all be wearing ■■■■ masks :unamused: , as if we were on our way to a Michael Jackson appreciation society meeting, or impersonating Japanese tourists,. and complying with other ■■■■ stupid ott rules, that also would have been an equally as ridiculous suggestion then. :bulb:
So your new Tier 6 theory could come to fruition…watch this space. :unamused:

Ireland could also impose new curbs on travel from Britain, with an announcement expected from ministers on Sunday.

The country’s health minister Stephen Donnelly said he and party leaders were looking at flights and ferries coming from Britain.

Flights and ferries arriving ex UK in Ireland as from Midnight tonight for 48 hours subject to review . Xmas in the Hotel Scania Mazzer ?

Always Cairnryan, but surely I should be allowed home heroic key worker and all that nonsense.  plus I’ll be loaded with essentials for McDonalds so priority load.

It’s a joke at the ferries at the moment hundreds of cars heading across to Dublin, and Stena pulling their yearly trick of over booking and then booting the freight off, wonder how long into January we’ll get before Stena are sending out the please use us e-mails to the hauliers especially with the new DFDS service starting in January. Stena Irish Sea treat the average haulier like something they’ve trod in, could learn a few lessons from their North Sea department

But the Irish obviously have no problem with travel from even worse infected France by population. It’s got nothing to do with Covid.

Strange why Europe wasn’t as keen on banning flights from China last January and February as opposed to welcoming them in and telling Italians to hug a Chinese. While Trump was called a racist for even suggesting it.

Just imagine how good or bad it would have been IF the EU had decided long ago that the two-way trade between the EU and UK had actually been BIlateral, rather than totally one-sided in their favour, with trucks full of their over-produced stuff flooding our markets over here, and then returning to the continent - empty.

Had those trucks in “Operation Stack - the Revenge of the Pith” been carrying perishables back to the EU - then they would have been cutting off their own noses completely… :smiling_imp:

No one loses out of this except the UK authorities trying to work out a politically correct form of “crowd management”, and of course the EU entirely, as this little problem of theirs - ain’t going away.

No Deal Brexit is either imminent, or we’ll see Boris falling upon his sword like Theresa May within days… :bulb:
