Is everyone deliberately ignoring this Poll or have people just failed to notice it near the top of the list of topics.
I see that 28 people have voted, but very few have contributed ideas or moans.

See what you think of my opinion.
I’ve had a look, but with limited experience of 7.5 tonners and an 8yr old ERF, I don’t feel I can contribute…

Rubbish Ragtop, you know what you like and don’t like about your truck, i am sure you would think of something to say.
would it make a difference?
i think not
DITTO… hence lack of interest

The very fact that a director of one of the UK’s largest truck manufacturers is willing to give up his friday night with his family to talk and listen to drivers is surely a start.
Only too often we hear drivers moan that no-one ever asks their opinion, or listens to their gripes and moans.
Here we have a direct line to those who make the decisions in this company, they wouldnt do this if they werent prepared to at least listen…Why else give up their friday evening■■?
The fact that DAF and ERF both sponsor parts of this site show that manufacturers are becoming more aware that drivers (even fleet drivers) have more and more say over the trucks their bosses buy… they need to be seen to be supporting/listening to/reacting to the needs of the ultimate end user of their products
This live chat , if it happens, is just one way we can get our message through to those who matter… Or we can all ignore this approach and carry on whinging about never having our say
Got my vote

not a big deal IMHO as most of the drivers on here give up,mon, tue, wed, thur, fri, sat & even sun nights with their families on a regular weekly basis.

its all very well that he will listen to our gripes and moans but that doesn
t mean he will act on them…sorry for being pessimistic, but previous experience with MD`s has proved to me they nod in agreement and forget straight after the meeting!
i wish you luck and hope it makes a difference, but as i said before i think not.
(just my personal opinion)
Its a good idea alright, but early friday evenings
im always trying to get back to load up for mondays madness, besides, as far as someone listening to my ideas, there
s more chance platting fog!!
roy…
If it means they would sell more lorries why would’nt they listen ■■?
It’s nice of him to come and do that on a Friday Night, but whilst it would be interesting to find out the outcome, I for one wouldn’t get much gain as such as all the stuff I drive is at least 4 years old…
I take it it is copied over to the other forums here such as the Owner Drivers
Apparently according to the text at the bottom right of my screen I am not allowed to vote in the polls.
I’ve checked my settings and sent a PM to the mods but no-one replies to me so I still can’t vote.
How about getting some bosses on here Friday night and find out why most drivers are treated so poorly and paid the same way?
Just an idea, tin hat on…
It doesnt really concern me as my boss only buys the cheapest nastiest snotters that a left at the back of the dealers yard

Communication is always a good thing, but be patient, nothing will change overnight.
