Not for Hire or Reward ...?

Is there anyone out there that can tell me what this ‘really’ means for an HGV?

I have tried to find out but no-one seems to know:
Do you have to use tachos? If not how does this work in Europe when asked for them?
Do you have to stick to the driving hours?
etc etc

IT MEANS THAT YOU DONT NEED A HAULEING LISENIS BECAUSE YOU WOULD SEE IT ON THE SIDE OF HORES LORRYS AND BIKES LORRYS I MEAN YOUR INGYOOR OWN WORK REALY

It means that the lorry is to only be used on “own contract” work, i.e a company delivering their own stuff to their own store with their own wagons. Those traders you get on Sunday markets wh0 use 7.5 tonners would be on a restricted O licence. Basically it means you can’t carry goods for anyone else, whether you get paid or not.

Yes you do still need to adhere to drivers hours and use a tacho if it is non-exempt work.

Drives:
Do you have to use tachos?

If over 7.5 tonnes plated GVW - YES

Drives:
If not how does this work in Europe when asked for them?

Same EU regs as UK is all I can say

Drives:
Do you have to stick to the driving hours?

If using a tacho - YES
