Nothing to do with me, but I thought this was fairly strong money for a class 2 job.

Excellent communication skills may rule some on here out.
I’ve never made it a secret of being an Agency hater, but if they are paying 35k, how much on top are they being paid by their client.
I don’t swallow all this crap some have put on here in the past, about them only making a quid an hour or something themselves, over and above what they pay their drivers, so if they are creaming off it would just be interesting to know, No?..ok then it’s just me
Same old question comes up though.
Why do the firm not just hire their own drivers, with a salary like that for Class 2 they can be selective, get a group of cream drivers, pay them with decent t.s and c.s, holiday pay etc, and ■■■■ the agency off.
Gotta agree with Robroy`s point… Remember if it sounds too good to be true…

Agencies make £3 on top. Might be a little less for smaller outfits. And with the agency the firm gets sick cover (and they don’t pay when drivers are off), don’t manage the driver’s PAYE or holiday, don’t really have to do anything at all except throw the keys at them. Man in any day of the week with no extra effort on their part.

Might not have year round role, seasonal demand only. Short term role. Loads of reasons for it.
May be using agency route to find suitable candidate. Look at them working until they get someone they like the look of.

Yeh ok, that sounds feasible, at least if they get a complete prick they don’t have to go through all the potential pitfalls of sacking him if he is agency.

I think the company is using a recruitment agency to do the leg work to get the right person, ok they’ll pay a fee for that, but it saves somebody in their office wade through the no hoper applications to get a short list of people.

Also:
“Drivers can benefit from working for a close-nit company with a team orientated background.”
Think they mean knit - perhaps the agency needs to address their own ‘communication skills’ too!
Sounds like One Call plant. The salary says £30k odd but when the work goes slack the candidates will be at home willing the phone to ring.

Means xyz person has quit so instead of employing anyone else you’re getting his / her jobs as well as your own and if you moan, remember what it said in the job advert. Boss needs a new Merc afterall. Rough translation anyway.
I think there’s more job’s out there that pay this sort if wages then people think, i earn the same, few companies round my area ( ok there is quite a few so maybe some competitive side to things to keep there drivers) also pay the same.
Maybe people keep quiet about earning good money so every tom ■■■■ n Harry aint at the door after there job.
Sutton Coldfield field has some lovely areas aswell, maybe they have a strong economy or something around there.
People seem quick to jump to a conclusion that every where pays ■■■■■ money and jobs r pants, and people with half decent jobs on earning half decent wages just smile and wave. Just my 2 cents.
