Can’t see the problem if the salary is OK to start with, the 2yrs experience is a bummer but normal, and you need to have your DCPC but anyone wanting to drive after Sept should be looking to get that sorted anyway if they haven’t already.

I think what they’re saying, is what the rest of us are thinking… WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY NOT AGAIN?
All you’ve done is post an advert, that on the surface looks like every other advert, no talk of the ‘competitive salary’, but I don’t know what you want us to stomp and huff over tbh
Here you go folks, it’s been well documented on here.

as in all walks of life Jobs change, people move on managers change etc etc not all jobs suit all people…
I don’t often say this, but this is one job I wouldn’t be interested in even if it paid top dollar, which it does not.
For someone as strongly motivated by money as I am, this is condemnation indeed.
In a former life, this company used to supply me. Sales team were great, and drivers all seemed fine. Only problem I ever had with them, was that we shut at 5, and they’d tend to turn up every now and again after we were all about to get in our cars and go home. If I’d had a good day (and needed their gear) I’d go dig out the tractor and tip them, sometimes I just wanted to offski. But the question was always the same, “any chance I can overnight here?”
Used to point at the rather large house opposite, and suggest that they might want to take it up with the owner of “that place” to see how he’d feel about them kipping on his driveway.
Believe it or not, some actually went and knocked on to ask, I was well gone by then, off home to take cover.

And the pay is?
For “Competetive” read “The same as everyone else paying minimum wage”.
I have been working class 1 for kent foods ltd. for a few months now and here is my opinion about them. I give the plus points first.
I think the work is dead easy and you get left to get on with your job.
I love the variety of the work as i do UK as well as Continental work.
There is no handball at all so don’t know where other drivers get it from that class 1 drivers do hand ball.
The wages are not bad at all specially now we had a pay rise the wages for class 1 are now £30.000 a year plus another £3000 when you been there a year.
The units are well maintained. Any problems get sorted ASAP
Now here are a few negative points
Planning department could give better job descriptions as sometimes you have to ask more then once for a full address. But that is the same at a lot of companies i have work for. So not really a problem to me
Now this is a problem to me. The units might be well maintained but are filthy inside. But can you blame Kent Foods for that? It would help if you keep the same unit all the time. One thing they seem to try to do now.
So in my opinion Kent Foods is not a bad company to work for and don’t mix Kent Foods with the company that do frozen foods as we only do sugar based items. Also I can’t say anything about the class 2 work as i don’t do any.
Bunch of knobs in the office as for European they didn’t have a clue NO CMRS I got bollocked at hull and harwich for that is that mouthy git Jason still there on tankers plus yes most drivers were dirty ■■■■■■■■ and left ■■■ ash etc all over cab ,always swapping u around as well ,as for class 2 work it will come ure way when you pee off the planners
